Technical Support Mini Diag V. 1.52.000 --------------------------------------- Supported Products ------------------ G100 G100 MMS G200 G200 MMS G400 series G450 G550 Description of release ---------------------- This utility will perform a hardware diagnostic on the full retail version and bulk version of the products listed above. Main Fixes ---------- - Fixed bug where a test would fail but would get the message that all tests passed at the end of the test run. - Digital flat panels are now supported. (G200MMS, G450 G550) In the event that the digital flat panel's edid is corrupted, the diag will automatically default to testing an analog output. In this case, you will see a blank screen during the test patterns rather than seeing the test pattern itself. If this occurs, open the autoexec.bat file that is on the floppy disk, and change the line @mdu.exe to @mdu.exe digital This will force the diag to test the card properly when using a digital flat panel in digital mode. Main known issues ----------------- n/a How to use this utility ----------------------- Simply run this utility and have a floppy disk handy. It will create a bootable floppy and also extract the diagnostic onto the floppy. Once this is done, reboot your system with the floppy inserted in your floppy drive and make sure that you have set your floppy drive as the first bootable device in your CMOS setup. The diagnostic will automatically run and perform a series of tests where in the end, your results will be stored in a text file. This diagnostic will give you the path of where the text file is stored.
